Our Food and Nutrition

Food and Nutrition

Nutrition in early childhood is an important factor for growth, development and for health in later years. A healthy eating pattern is the foundation for good health throughout life.

Busy Bees are committed in providing our children with a variety of nutritious meal.   We make sure that children in our care meet their daily recommended dietary intake. All our menus are in accordance of the nutrition checklist by The Australian Guide to Healthy Eating. We teach our children the importance of maintaining a healthy diet. We are a member of Munch and Move, it is NSW Health initiative that supports the healthy development of children birth to 5 years by promoting physical activity, healthy eating and reduced small screen time.

We offer 4 week rotation menus that are nutritious and delicious throughout the day – breakfast, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. All the meals are prepared daily in the premises by our qualified and experienced staff.

We cater for special dietary requirements including allergies, as well as those from families with cultural or religious requirements. We encourage the parents to inform us during the enrollment period.

Menus are displayed in the foyer near the kitchen. We welcome feedback and accepts recipe ideas from our families. All of our menus are evaluated in a regular basis.

We ask parents not to bring any food into our Centre due to children’s allergies. We thank and appreciate parents for their cooperation. If your child is celebrating a birthday, please discuss it with our staff.
